- Produce, crafts and products sold at Wallingford Local Producers Market (WLPM) must normally be produced locally, within 30 miles of Wallingford. Any exceptions must be notified to the Management Committee for approval, and county or country of origin must be clearly displayed.
- Only stallholders who have completed the application process and accepted this Trading Policy are able to trade at WLPM.
- All stallholders can only sell produce, crafts and products as listed on their application form. Additions to the list may be approved by the Management Committee, and must be notified to the Committee before trading.
- All stallholders must comply with current Trading Standards and Environmental Health requirements. Food producers are required to list allergens in their products.
- All stallholders must have public liability insurance. This must be shown when completing the application form, and available when the Management Committee requests it.
- Stalls must be staffed by at least one person directly involved in or fully knowledgeable of the growing or making of the produce on sale.
- Stalls must display the name of the stallholder/business with a contact telephone number or email address/website. Relevant certificates e.g. organic certification, should be displayed.
- Secondary producers e.g. makers of preserves, cakes and savouries should use locally-grown ingredients where possible. Stallholders are encouraged to inform customers when their products contain locally-sourced ingredients.
- WLPM supports sustainable and organic methods of growing and producing food. The Management Committee takes account of high standards of animal welfare and food production methods when assessing applications.
