Wallingford Local Producers Market (WLPM) is held every Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm, except on the fifth Saturday of the month.
From September to April the markets are usually held in St Mary’s Church, near the Town Hall in the middle of Wallingford. During the summer at least one WLPM market a month takes place in the Market Place. Check this page for current information.
Please read the Trading Policy to find out more about how the market is run. All Stallholders agree to the Trading Policy when they sign the application form.
A stall usually means one table approximately 27 inches wide and 6 ft long. A limited number of tables are available in St Mary’s Church. Some stallholders prefer to bring their own tables. Electricity is supplied in St Mary’s Church and in the Market Place.
WLPM hires some tables and a few gazebos for stallholders attending markets held in the Market Place. Stallholders are encouraged to bring their own gazebos and tables if they have them.
Every stallholder is assigned a pitch for the market they are attending. The location of the pitch may vary from week to week according to the number of stalls at the market and space available.
Every Sunday the Market Coordinator sends out a list of stallholders who have provisionally booked into the market the following Saturday. The final list of confirmed stalls is sent out on Wednesday, and publicised in the Newsletter and through Social Media on Thursday and Friday.
(Insert structure here, including non-attendance fee.)
The Market Coordinator will be at the market before 9am to open up and set out tables with the Scouts. We are all responsible for leaving St Mary’s Church or the Market Place clean and tidy. Buckets, mops, brooms, dustpan and hand brush are available in the church.
